Planning permission granted for eco development
Sage Construction reported

Cherwell District Council has given the go-ahead to the first phase of the NW Bicester eco scheme, with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) set to provide some funding.

Under the plans, 393 new homes will be constructed, with 119 of these set aside as affordable housing, while a renewable energy centre will also be built on the site.

As a result of the affordable properties in the development, the HCA is investing £6 million in the project.

Once underway, it will become one of the largest housing schemes where the properties are all constructed to meet Level 5 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
