Ricoh brings giant eco billboard to UK
Greenwise Business reported

Japanese digital office equipment company, Ricoh, has erected the first giant eco billboard of its kind in Europe – on the M4 motorway between London and Heathrow airport.

The 'eco-board’, which is powered by 96 solar panels and five individual wind turbines, is a symbol of Ricoh’s commitment to business sustainability, the company said. The office solutions specialist made a splash when it unveiled its first 100 per cent solar and wind powered billboard in New York’s Time Square, two years ago.

"Our ethos is to go beyond simply meeting regulatory requirements relating to sustainability by proactively promoting environmentally responsible practices in our own business and for our customers," said Steve Saito, chairman and ceo of Ricoh Europe. "The launch of the eco-board takes us one step further by reminding wider public audiences to act in a sustainable way and think beyond the obvious when it comes to protecting natural resources."
