Posh car park closed for eco-village work
Peterborough Today reported

Football fans will have to find a new place to park for games at Peterborough United’s London Road stadium after the closure of a car park to pave the way for a multi-million green homes development.

The Horse Fair Meadow car park, next to the Peterborough United ground, is closed to allow work to start on Peterborough’s pioneering £150 million eco-village.

Peterborough City Council, which closed the car park yesterday, and officials at the Posh are in negotiations to find an alternative car park for when the football season starts again in August.

Fans are being urged to use Pleasure Fair Meadow car park, opposite Apex House, in Oundle Road.
Andrew Edwards, the council‘s head of growth and regeneration, said: “We understand the closure may cause an inconvenience for some drivers.

“We are working closely with the club to come up with a suitable solution for their fans in time for next season, and in the meantime drivers are able to park just over the road at Pleasure Fair Meadow.”
